Alongside these, a set of smaller refinements across minutes tables, agenda titles, Word exports and calendar connections.

NEW FEATURES

New Access Controls

NEW Platform Administrators

Why we built this

Administrators asked to adjust who can do what from the same place they see their team, rather than raising a request each time somebody changed role.

How it works

Manage Access is a new panel in your team settings. Select a member and assign their role directly; the permissions matrix shows exactly what each role can see and do before you confirm. Only administrators holding the access-management permission can open it, and roles can only be assigned at or below your own level.

Manage Access opens from any member in your team settings, with the permissions matrix showing what each role can see and do before you confirm.

What to do

Open your team settings and select Manage Access to review current roles.

Spreadsheets in Knowledge Bases

NEW Knowledge Bases All Users

Why we built this

Reference material for fund and entity structures often lives in spreadsheets — entity registers, director lists, standing schedules — and until now only documents could be added to a knowledge base.

How it works

Knowledge bases now accept Excel workbooks and CSV files alongside Word documents and PDFs. Uploaded spreadsheets are indexed the same way as any other reference material and are drawn on when minutes are drafted.

What to do

Open a knowledge base and upload an .xlsx or .csv file as you would any other document.

Transcript Import from Teams Exports

NEW Meetings All Users

Why we built this

Clients want to import Teams transcripts from meetings that took place before Starlight was implemented, so we are expanding the supported formats, as some required manual edits to be usable.

How it works

Transcript files exported from Microsoft Teams can be imported directly into a meeting, with speakers, timings and turn boundaries read straight from the export. Long transcripts import in full, and speaker labels carry through to the minutes.

What to do

Open a meeting and use transcript import, then select your Teams export file.

IMPROVEMENTS

Speaker Attribution Across Rejoins

IMPROVED Meetings All Users

Why we updated this

Long calls frequently involve attendees dropping out and rejoining, and each rejoin was treated as a separate participant.

How it works now

Speaker mappings you have set are kept for the whole call, so an attendee who leaves and returns stays attributed to the same person throughout the transcript and the minutes. Live calls also pick up speaker changes as they happen.

What to do

No action needed — this applies to new meetings automatically.

Template Deletion Shows Its Impact First

IMPROVED Minutes Administrators

Why we updated this

A template can be in use by several agents, and administrators asked to see that relationship before making a change rather than after.

How it works now

Deleting a template now lists exactly which agents are using it and asks you to confirm, so you can see the impact of the change before it happens.

What to do

No action needed — the confirmation step appears the next time you delete a template.

FIXES

Fixes and Refinements

FIX Minutes All Users

In this release

  • Attendance and Present columns hold their width in the minutes editor, and tables stay mappable when a document is reopened for editing.
  • Numbered agenda titles keep their sub-items on separate lines rather than running them into the heading.
  • Word downloads of minutes that use a custom template complete as expected.
  • Calendar connections that can no longer be refreshed now prompt you to reconnect instead of retrying quietly in the background.

What to do

No action needed.
