In-App Support & Sharper Minutes Formatting
You can now raise a support request straight from the dashboard Help menu — Starlight captures your session context automatically so the team can respond faster. Training videos in Help now play reliably, with clearer controls when something goes wrong. A broad set of formatting fixes means legal lists, section numbering, attendance tables, and Word exports stay faithful to your template — and edits save to the version you are actually viewing.
NEW FEATURES
Submit Support Requests from the Dashboard
Why we updated this
When something went wrong in Starlight, the only route was to leave the product and chase support by email — often without the meeting, page, or account context the team needed to diagnose the issue quickly.
How it works now
A new option under Help opens a support dialog where you describe the problem in plain language. Starlight automatically attaches useful session context — such as where you were in the product — so the team can pick up the thread without a long back-and-forth. Once submitted, you get clear confirmation that the request was received.
What to do
Open Help in the dashboard sidebar and choose Submit a support ticket. No setup required.
IMPROVEMENTS
More Faithful Outline and Legal List Formatting
Why we updated this
Generated minutes could mis-number sections after a boundary, drop legal sub-list structure on export, or render mixed marker styles inconsistently — particularly on formal board templates where punctuation and nesting carry compliance meaning.
How it works now
Section counters now restart correctly at each new section instead of accumulating across the document. Legal lists and sub-lists preserve their structure from generation through the editor and into the Word export, and mixed outline markers (decimal, letter, and roman in the same section) render in the order your template specifies.
What to do
No action needed — regenerate or re-export existing minutes to pick up formatting improvements.
FIXES
Training Videos Play Reliably with Better Playback Controls
Why we updated this
Training videos in Help could fail silently — showing a black player with no indication of what went wrong — and there was no quick way to skip back or forward through longer walkthroughs.
How it works now
Videos hosted on Starlight's content storage now load correctly in the dashboard. If a video fails, the player tells you plainly instead of staying blank. You can rewind or fast-forward in ten-second steps with on-screen buttons or keyboard shortcuts when the player is focused, alongside the existing timeline seek.
What to do
Open Help → Training & guides. No setup required.
Edits Save to the Version You Are Viewing
Why we updated this
When browsing earlier minutes drafts in version history, a save could land on the latest version instead of the one on screen — silently overwriting the wrong draft.
How it works now
The editor now sends the selected version with every autosave, so changes always attach to the draft you are actively reviewing.
What to do
No action needed — version history behaves as expected from your next edit onward.
Tables and Attendance Blocks Survive Editing
Why we updated this
Structured tables — including the attendance block at the top of formal minutes — could lose their layout or special formatting when opened in the editor, leaving a generic grid that no longer matched the signed-minutes template.
How it works now
The editor now recognises and preserves table furniture markers through the edit round-trip, keeping attendance blocks compact and borderless as intended rather than expanding into a full-width data grid.
What to do
No action needed — open and edit minutes with tables as normal.
Clear an Agent Styling Template When Needed
Why we updated this
Once a styling template was assigned to an agent, there was no straightforward way to remove it — leaving teams stuck with formatting they no longer wanted until an administrator intervened at the database level.
How it works now
The agent configuration screen now allows you to clear the styling template selection entirely, returning the agent to its default output formatting.
What to do
Open the agent in organisation settings and clear the styling template field to remove it.
Mixed Outline Markers Render in the Correct Order
Why we updated this
Minutes with a combination of numbered, lettered, and roman sub-items could display markers out of sequence or with incorrect indentation — particularly when continuation lines sat between numbered points.
How it works now
The outline renderer now treats each list level independently, honouring self-declared marker depth and rendering hierarchical counters correctly for mixed-format sections.
What to do
No action needed — existing documents re-render correctly when opened.
